本书旨在普及灯谜知识，帮助读者理解灯谜机理、掌握基本猜制方法和领略传统文化魅力，可供灯谜爱好者阅读，也可供在校学生研习中国传统文化参考使用。
程蓓，安徽合肥人。浙江大学本科毕业，东南大学硕士，安徽电气工程职业技术学院教授。从教30年，曾获得*颁发的全国职业教育先进个人，安徽省教育厅颁发的教学名师、模范教师、新时代教书育人楷模等多项荣誉称号，获得安徽省教学成果奖8次。现为安徽省民俗协会灯谜专业委员会副主任、合肥市灯谜协会副会长，在高校中积极推广“传统文化进校园活动”，2019年指导学生参加全国校园灯谜大会获高校组二等奖，2021年作为负责人成功组织举办了安徽省高校大学生互联网灯谜大赛；个人在全国性、区域性灯谜比赛中获奖多次。
