池泽夏树(IKEZAWA NATSUKI),1945年出生于日本北海道带广市。埼玉大学理学系物理专业中途退学。1975年起在希腊生活3年。1988年凭借小说《STILL LIFE》获得芥川奖。2004年因《跨过伊拉克的小桥》,《我才不懂宪法》、《安静的大地》等作品荣获第七届司马辽太郎奖,另著有《睿智的断片》、《塞纳河边》,译有《小王子》等多部作品。同时也是日本重要的文学奖项芥川奖的现任评委之一。
