尹正平，原籍河北省石家庄市井陉县，中国铁路作家协会会员，当当网第五届影响力作家。工作之余坚持学习中国古典文献学，曾于2011年参加北京大学中文系中国古典文献学专业研究生招生考试，取得全国统考第二名、专业课总分名的成绩，而后开始写作本书，历经十一载终于完成。其间，曾用“邺下风流在晋多”为用户名在天涯论坛煮酒论史版块连载本书内容，引发读者关注。
