作者简介

卡尔·冯·克劳塞维茨（1780—1831），普鲁士少将，军事理论家和军事历史学家。12岁参军，先后参加了次反法联盟战争、第四次反法联盟战争、1812年俄法战争，以及1815年第七次反法联盟战争。1818年至1830年，在担任普鲁士军事学院院长期间，克劳塞维茨花费大量时间对涉及战争的一些规律性问题进行了分析，撰写了后来形成《战争论》的大量文稿。1831年11月16日，克劳塞维茨突发急症离世。这些文稿经他的遗孀整理后，陆续在1832年至1834年间出版。

陈川，自10岁起进入北京外国语学院附属外国语学校学习德语，1987年自北京外国语学院德语系毕业后从事军事外交工作，2017年退出现役。曾任中国驻德国大使馆武官处陆军武官，并曾作为中国人民解放军首批两名赴德国军事留学生之一，在德国联邦语言局和联邦国防军指挥学院进修20个月。

卡尔·冯·克劳塞维茨（1780－1831）是普鲁士少将、著名军事理论家和军事历史学家。他12岁参军，13岁参加次反法联盟战争（1792－1797），此后一生中又参加了第四次反法联盟战争（1806－1807）、1812年俄法战争，以及1815年反法战争。其间，克劳塞维茨历经普鲁士军校首届学员（1801－1804）、亲王副官（1804－1806）、法国战俘（1807－1809）、普鲁士军事改革的参与者、普鲁士王子的基础军事课教员（1809－1812）等多个角色的变换，但不变的是他的勤于阅读和思考。他阅读了大量政治、军事、历史、逻辑和哲学方面的书籍，在法国战俘营期间对法国革命的影响进行分析，对普鲁士在耶拿会战中大败的原因进行反思，撰写了《关于1806年10月战事的书信集》（后于1823年底又撰写了《处于灾难中的普鲁士》，再次进行反思）。在参与1815年反法联盟战争后，克劳塞维茨先是任军参谋长（1815－1818），后任普鲁士军事学院院长（1818－1830）。在任院长期间，他有更多时间对涉及战争的一些根本问题进行思考，着手尝试运用辩证法原理分析战争中具有规律性的现象，对军事与政治、战争与媾和、进攻与防御、战略与战术、战争与现实战争、物质力量与精神力量、常备军战争与人民战争等诸多概念和要素之间的关系进行研究。1831年11月16日，克劳塞维茨突发急症去世，留下大量笔记和手稿，后由其夫人玛丽?冯?克劳塞维茨（1779－1836）整理，于1832－1834年出版。

眼前这部我现在为之撰写前言的著作几乎让我挚爱的丈夫（可惜他过早地离开了我和祖国）耗尽他生命中后12年的全部精力。完成这一著作是他殷切的愿望，但是他并无意一定要在他有生之年让它面世。当我劝他改变这个想法时，他一半是开玩笑，但一半也许是预感到自己的早逝而经常这样回答说：“应该由你来编纂出版。” 尽管当时我很少认真地考虑过它的含意，但是在那些幸福的日子里，这句话常常使我潸然泪下。也正是这句话让我的朋友们认为，我有义务在我亲爱丈夫的遗著的前面写几句话。即使人们对于我这样做可能有不同的看法，也还是会体谅那种促使我克服羞怯心理来写这篇前言的情感的。这种羞怯心理常常使一位女子即使是出面做这样一些次要的事情也会感到十分为难。
