《李卫公问对》,又称《唐太宗李卫公问对》,是一部以传统的问答体写成的兵书,主要记载了唐太宗李世民和李靖之间关于作战方略的问、答。全书分上中下三卷,共98次问答。该书反映的兵家指导思想是:必须先知攻守两齐之法,然后知奇正;先知奇正相变之术,然后知虚实。通过其中的记载,我们对兵家文献中常见到的攻防原则、奇正相变之术、阵法训练等,均将会有更深刻的了解。本书注释,侧重于古代军事术语、战例、阵法以及人物、地名方面,从而方便使用者研读。此次整理,所用底本为1935年上海商务印书馆影印的日本静嘉堂藏南宋浙刻本《武经七书》之《李卫公问对》,校本主要有明嘉靖癸丑年翁氏刊本、明万历辛巳年刘寅《武经七书直解》本、明天启辛酉年刊行的批注本等。
