    1. Anwendungszweck
    Chlorhexidin Puder dient der Pflege und dem Schutz unverletzter, infektionsgefährdeter Haut- sowie Wundrandregionen. Das Produkt bindet und reguliert die Hautfeuchtigkeit. Die Entstehung guter Keimwachstumsbedingungen wird wirksam verhindert. Die Anwendung von Chlorhexidin Puder beugt somit regionalen Hautinfektionen (z. ß. Intertrigo), einhergehend mit Jucken, Brennen und Schmerzen der Haut, vor.

    2. Anwendungsgebiete
    Chlorhexidin Puder ist gebrauchsfertig anwendbar für die reinigende Pflege und den Schutz der unverletzten (abgeheilten) Nabelregion Neugeborener, infektionsgefährdeter Hautregionen wie Achselhöhle, adipositasbedingter Hautfalten (z. B. Brust, Bauch, Leistenbeuge) sowie dem Genital- und Analbereich. Das Produkt ist für die professionelle Pflege von Kranken, Behinderten und Senioren sowie für den häuslichen Gebrauch geeignet.

    3. Nebenwirkungen
    Gelegentlich können Überempfindlichkeitsreaktionen der Haut (z. B. Kontaktdermatitis, Photosensibilisierung) und selten auch anaphylaktische Reaktionen auftreten.

    4. Gewebeverträglichkeit
    Die Hautverträglichkeit des Produkts ist in einer Konzentration von 1 % in Wasser auch bei wiederholter Anwendung gut. Bei Erwachsenen konnte nach wiederholter Anwendung von Chlorhexidin Puder auf gesunder Haut keine Resorption nachgewiesen werden.

    5. Gegenanzeigen
    Chlorhexidin Puder darf nicht bei schlecht durchblutetem Gewebe, am Trommelfell, am Auge oder in der Augenumgebung, bei Allergien (insbesondere bei einer bereits zuvor aufgetretenen Überempfindlichkeitsreaktion gegen Chlorhexidin), bei Hautwunden oder Ulzerationen angewendet werden. Achtung: Während der Schwangerschaft oder Laktation sollte keine großflächige Anwendung erfolgen.

    6. Allgemeine Sicherheitshinweise
    Das Produkt ist ausschließlich zur äußerlichen Anwendung an unversehrter Haut bestimmt und darf nicht durch Einnahme, Injektion oder Infusion in den Körper gelangen.

    Gegenmaßnahme bei versehentlicher Einnahme:
    Der Inhaltsstoff Chlorhexidin wird durch Saccharose inaktiviert und kann durch Polysorbat-80, unlösliche Magnesium-, Zink- und Calciumsalze deaktiviert werden.

    Achtung:
    Kindern ist der Zugang zu diesem Medizinprodukt zu verwehren. Sicher aufbewahren! Bei der Anwendung an unversehrter Haut in Wundrandregionen ist ein direkter Kontakt des Produkts mit der Wunde zu vermeiden. Bei der Anwendung von Chlorhexidin Puder im Genital- oder Analbereich kann es wegen der Hilfsstoffe Vaselin und Paraffin bei gleichzeitiger Anwendung von Kondomen aus Latex zu einer Verminderung der Reißfestigkeit und damit zur Beeinträchtigung der Sicherheit von Kondomen kommen. Beim Umgang mit talkumhaltigen Pudern ist ein übermäßiges Stäuben und Einatmen des Staubes möglichst zu vermeiden.

    Achtung:
    Chlorhexidin Puder sollte nicht bei Überempfindlichkeit gegen die Inhaltsstoffe angewendet werden. Mit Vorsicht anzuwenden bei Neugeborenen und besonders bei Frühgeborenen. Chlorhexidin Puder kann eine chemische Verätzung der Haut verursachen.

    7. Produkteigenschaften
    Chlorhexidin Puder reinigt durch seine physikalischen Eigenschaften und bindet bzw. reguliert die Hautfeuchtigkeit an infektionsgefährdeten Hautregionen. Die besondere Pudergrundlage des Produkts mit einer Partikelgröße von weniger als 250 /um ermöglicht ein hohes Feuchtigkeitsaufnahmevermögen des Puders durch Adsorption der Flüssigkeit an die Partikeloberfläche. Die trocknenden Eigenschaften der Partikel, zusammen mit der guten Gleitfähigkeit tragen zu einer Verminderung der Reibung an Körperoberflächen bei. Durch seine konservierenden Inhaltsstoffe ist Chlorhexidin Puder bei neutralem und leicht alkalischem pH-Wert effektiv.

    8. Produktanwendung
    Die betroffenen Hautareale werden durch den Anwender (Patient oder pflegende Person) mehrmals täglich mit Chlorhexidin Puder gleichmäßig eingepudert. Die durchgehende Anwendung sollte eine Dauer von 4 Wochen nicht überschreiten. Verbrauchte Gebinde und Umkartons sind über den Hausmüll, vorzugsweise getrennt, zu entsorgen. Überlagerte oder aufgebrauchte Gebinde sind über die Apotheke zu entsorgen.

    9. Physikalische Produktdaten
    Zusammensetzung:
    Chlorhexidin Puder enthält: Adipinsäure, Talkum, Zinkoxid, gefälltes Siliciumdioxid, dünnflüssiges Paraffin, weißes Vaselin, Wollwachs, 1% Chlorhexidindiglukonat (entspricht 0,5% Chlorhexidin) als Konservierungsmittel.

    Aussehen, Geruch:
    Nahezu weißes Puder mit schwach wahrnehmbarem Geruch.

    Haltbarkeit:
    2 Jahre.

    Lagerbedingungen:
    Chlorhexidin Puder ist bei Raumtemperatur (im Bereich 15-25°C) trocken zu lagern. Streudose nach Gebrauch wieder fest verschließen.
