How Acnecide Face Gel 5% works on acne spots:
Acnecide Face Gel 5% contains the active ingredient benzoyl peroxide, which kills the bacteria (germs) known as Propionibacterium acnes, one of the main causes of acne.
Suitable for
Acnecide Face Gel 5% is suitable if:
- You are over the age of 12 years
- You have mild acne on the face
Mild acne appears as predominately blackheads and whiteheads and there are few or no spots and pimples and no inflamed spots.

Use Acnecide Face Gel after washing with a mild cleanser and water:
1. Dry your face.
2. Apply the face gel to the affected area in a thin layer, avoiding sensitive areas such as the eyes, mouth, inside of the nose, and neck.
3. Wash hands thoroughly after applying the gel.
4. Repeat these steps once or twice daily as required.
Skin should always be moisturised following cleansing and after applying any treatments as some products can cause dryness and redness on affected skin.
Important
When using Acnecide Benzoyl Peroxide treatments for the first time, or after a long break, it is important to read the instructions for use. You will need to build up usage carefully, starting with once-a-day application in the evening for the first few days. If your skin tolerates this, you can step up to twice daily application morning and evening.
Acnecide Benzoyl Peroxide spot treatment is also available in a wash-off format. You should not use both treatment formats at the same time. Choose which feels best for you and your skincare routine.
