Acticoat Flex 3 ist ein antimikrobieller Wundverband und basiert auf einem patentierten Verfahren der Silberaufbringung. Acticoat Flex 3 ist ein äußerst anschmiegsamer, einlagiger Verband, der sich auch für schwierige Wunden eignet. Das flexible Material ermöglicht den vollständigen Kontakt mit der Wundoberfläche. Der Verband passt sich den Bewegungen des Patienten an und bietet dadurch einen hohen Tragekomfort. Die langanhaltende Freisetzung von hoch dosiertem Silber sorgt für eine antimikrobielle Barriere. Das Risiko der Keimbesiedlung der Wunde wird reduziert und so einer Infektion vorbeugt. Die antimikrobielle Barriere bleibt bis zu drei Tage wirksam. Dadurch sind weniger Verbandwechsel notwendig. Die Wundauflage minimiert das Risiko des Verklebens mit der Wunde. Dies bedeutet für den Patienten einen atraumatischen und schmerzarmen Verbandwechsel. Acticoat Flex 3 kann als Wundkontaktschicht in Kombination mit einer Unterdruck-Wundtherapie über einen Zeitraum von bis zu drei Tagen verwendet werden.
