How to use derma roller
- Clean your roller by letting it soak in 70% isopropyl alcohol for approximately 5 to 10 minutes or use ultraviolet for about 45 minutes.
- Thoroughly cleanse your face using a gentle pH-balanced cleanser
- Try it on the back of your hand so you can get a feel of the right pressure
- Before you start roll, divide face into four segments and start working on each segment.
- Roll in one direction 4 to 5 times, depending on your skin tolerance and sensitivity, and make sure to lift the roller after each pass (preferable). So, roll in one direction, lift up and repeat.
- After you roll in the same place 4 to 5 times, adjust the derma roller slightly, and repeat. Do this until you’ve covered the entire section of skin you’re treating.
- After rolling in one direction, it’s time to go back over the area you just rolled and repeat the process in the perpendicular direction.
- Wash your face with water
- Clean the derma roller with soapy water and follow step 1
- Follow up derma rolling with a basic skin care routine like moisturizer or vitamin C serum. That means no chemical exfoliates, scrubs or any other irritating skin care products etc.
