How to check if the shock absorber is damaged:
Oil leakage: Check the shock absorber through the wheel arch with a flashlight. When oil leakage is found outside the shock absorber, it indicates that the shock absorber has been damaged.
Abnormal noise: If the shock absorber makes an abnormal noise when the vehicle is driving on a bumpy road section, it is most likely that the shock absorber has been damaged.
Uneven tire wear: When the shock absorber is broken, the wheel will vibrate unevenly during driving. This will cause the wheels to tilt, which will cause serious wear on the part of the tire that touches the ground, while the untouched tires will not be affected, resulting in uneven wear over time.
Press the bumper firmly and then release it. If the car jumps 2 or 3 times, it means that the shock absorber is working well. If you keep nodding your head up and down and bow your waist, it will be broken if it looks very elastic.
The hazard of a broken complete strut/shock absorber:
