1. WAS IST HEPAGALLIN N UND WOFÜR WIRD ES ANGEWENDET?
Hepagallin N ist ein pflanzliches Arzneimittel bei Verdauungsbeschwerden. Zu den Anwendungsgebieten gehören: Bei Verdauungsstörungen (dyspeptischen Beschwerden), besonders bei funktionellen Störungen des ableitenden Gallensystems.
2. WAS MÜSSEN SIE VOR DER EINNAHME VON HEPAGALLIN N BEACHTEN?
Wann dürfen Sie das Arzneimittel nicht anwenden?
Bei bekannter Überempfindlichkeit (Allergie) gegen Artischocken und andere Korbblütler oder einen der sonstigen Bestandteile des Arzneimittels Verschluss der Gallenwege. Bei Gallensteinleiden nur nach Rücksprache mit einem Arzt anwenden.
Was sollten Sie bei einer Selbstbehandlung beachten?
Die Anwendung des Arzneimittels sollte nicht ohne ärztlichen Rat erfolgen und ersetzt nicht die vom Arzt diesbezüglich verordneten Arzneimittel. Bei Beschwerden, die länger als 1 Woche andauern oder regelmäßig wiederkehren, sollte, wie bei allen unklaren Beschwerden, ein Arzt aufgesucht werden.
Welche anderen Medikamente beeinflussen die Wirkung des Arzneimittels?
Bei gleichzeitiger Gabe von Hepagallin N kann die Wirksamkeit von blutgerinnungshemmenden Mitteln vom Cumarin-Typ (Phenprocoumon, Warfarin) abgeschwächt sein. Deshalb kann es notwendig sein, dass die Dosierung dieser Arzneimittel angepasst werden muss. Patienten, die Hepagallin N und gleichzeitig Arzneimittel mit einem dieser Wirkstoffe einnehmen, sollten daher ihren Arzt aufsuchen.
Was müssen Sie in der Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit beachten?
Das Arzneimittel soll wegen nicht ausreichender Untersuchungen in Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit nicht angewendet werden.
Was ist bei Kindern zu berücksichtigen?
Zur Anwendung von Hepagallin N bei Kindern liegen keine ausreichenden Untersuchungen vor. Es soll deshalb bei Kindern unter 12 Jahren nicht angewendet werden.
3. WIE IST HEPAGALLIN N EINZUNEHMEN?
Die folgenden Angaben gelten, soweit Ihnen das Arzneimittel nicht anders verordnet wurde.
Wieviel sollten Sie von dem Arzneimittel einnehmen und wie oft sollten Sie es anwenden?
Erwachsene und Kinder über 12 Jahren nehmen 3 mal täglich 2 überzogene Tabletten mit ausreichend Flüssigkeit (z.B. 1 Glas Wasser) nach den Mahlzeiten ein.
Wenn Sie eine größere Menge Hepagallin N eingenommen haben, als Sie sollten:
Vergiftungen mit Zubereitungen aus Artischockenblättern sind bisher nicht bekannt geworden. Möglicherweise treten die unten aufgeführten Nebenwirkungen verstärkt auf. In diesem Fall benachrichtigen Sie bitte Ihren Arzt. Dieser kann über gegebenenfalls erforderliche Maßnahmen entscheiden.
Wenn Sie die Einnahme von Hepagallin N vergessen haben:
Wenn Sie zu wenig von Hepagallin N genommen haben oder die Einnahme von Hepagallin N vergessen haben, nehmen Sie beim nächsten Mal nicht etwa die doppelte Menge ein, sondern fahren Sie mit der Einnahme, wie von Ihrem Arzt verordnet oder in der Gebrauchsinformation beschrieben, fort.
4. WELCHE NEBENWIRKUNGEN SIND MÖGLICH?
Sehr selten wurde über leichte Durchfälle mit typischer Begleitsymptomatik (z.B. Bauchkrämpfe) sowie Oberbauchbeschwerden, Übelkeit und Sodbrennen berichtet. Sehr selten können Überempfindlichkeitsreaktionen wie z.B. Hautausschläge auftreten. Sollten Sie eine der oben genannten Nebenwirkungen bei sich beobachten, so informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, damit er über den Schweregrad und gegebenenfalls erforderliche Maßnahmen entscheiden kann. Bei den ersten Anzeichen einer Überempfindlichkeitsreaktion darf Hepagallin N nicht nochmals eingenommen werden. Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen beobachten, die nicht in der Packungsbeilage aufgeführt sind, informieren Sie bitte Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker.
5. WIE IST HEPAGALLIN N AUFZUBEWAHREN?
Nicht über 25°C lagern. Nach Anbruch 60 Tage haltbar. Bewahren Sie das Arzneimittel so auf, dass es für Kinder nicht zugänglich ist. Bitte verwenden Sie das Arzneimittel nicht mehr nach dem auf Behältnis und äußerer Umhüllung angegebenen Verfallsdatum.
