1. WAS IST HERMES BIOTIN 5 MG UND WOFÜR WIRD ES ANGEWENDET?
Hermes Biotin 5 mg ist ein Vitamin-Präparat.
Hermes Biotin 5 mg wird angewendet zur Vorbeugung und Behandlung eines Biotin-Mangels. (Zur Vorbeugung sind weniger als 0,2 mg Biotin am Tag ausreichend.) Behandlung eines Biotin-Mangels beim sehr seltenen Biotin-abhängigen, multiplen Carboxylasemangel.
2. WAS SOLLTEN SIE VOR DER EINNAHME VON HERMES BIOTIN 5 MG BEACHTEN?
Hermes Biotin 5 mg darf nicht eingenommen werden, wenn Sie allergisch gegen den Wirkstoff Biotin oder einen der in Abschnitt 6. genannten sonstigen Bestandteile dieses Arzneimittels sind.
Einnahme von Hermes Biotin 5 mg zusammen mit anderen Arzneimitteln:
Es bestehen Hinweise, dass Arzneimittel gegen Krampfanfälle (Antikonvulsiva) den Spiegel von Biotin im Blutplasma senken. Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker wenn Sie andere Arzneimittel einnehmen, kürzlich andere Arzneimittel eingenommen haben oder beabsichtigen andere Arzneimittel einzunehmen.
Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit:
Wenn Sie schwanger sind oder stillen, oder wenn Sie vermuten, schwanger zu sein oder beabsichtigen, schwanger zu werden, fragen Sie vor der Einnahme dieses Arzneimittels Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker um Rat.
Verkehrstüchtigkeit und Fähigkeit zum Bedienen von Maschinen:
Es sind keine besonderen Vorsichtsmaßnahmen erforderlich.
Hermes Biotin 5 mg enthalt Lactose:
Dieses Arzneimittel enhalt Lactose. Bitte nehmen Sie Hermes Biotin 5 mg daher erst nach Rücksprache mit Ihrem Arzt ein, wenn Ihnen bekannt ist, dass Sie unter einer Unverträglichkeit gegenüber bestimmten Zuckern leiden.
3. WIE IST HERMES BIOTIN 5 MG EINZUNEHMEN?
Nehmen Sie dieses Arzneimittel immer genau wie in dieser Packungsbeilage beschrieben bzw. genau nach der mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker getroffenen Absprache ein. Fragen Sie bei Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker nach, wenn Sie sich nicht sicher sind. Die empfohlene Dosis beträgt: Täglich 1/2 bis 1 Tablette Hermes Biotin 5 mg (entsprechen 2,5 mg bis 5 mg Biotin). Zur Prophylaxe sind weniger als 0,2 mg Biotin pro Tag ausreichend. Zur Therapie des multiplen Carboxylasemangels: Täglich 1 bis 2 Tabletten Hermes Biotin 5 mg (entsprechen 5 mg bis 10 mg Biotin). Für niedrigere Dosierungen stehen Präparate mit geringerem Gehalt an Biotin zur Verfugung.
Art der Anwendung:
Nehmen Sie die Tabletten unzerkaut mit ausreichend Flüssigkeit ein (vorzugsweise ein Glas Wasser [200ml]).
Dauer der Anwendung:
Nehmen Sie Hermes Biotin 5 mg bis zur Normalisierung der Biotin-Werte im Blut ein. Die Dauer ist abhängig vom Verlauf der Grunderkrankung. Befragen Sie hierzu bitte Ihren Arzt. Beim sehr seltenen Biotin-abhangigen, multiplen Carboxylasemangel erfolgt die Einnahme lebenslang.
Bitte sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker, wenn Sie den Eindruck haben, dass die Wirkung von Hermes Biotin 5 mg zu stark oder zu schwach ist.
Wenn Sie eine größere Menge von Hermes Biotin 5 mg eingenommen haben, als Sie sollten:
Vergiftungen und Überdosierungserscheinungen sind nicht bekannt.
Wenn Sie die Einnahme von Hermes Biotin 5 mg vergessen haben:
Nehmen Sie nicht die doppelte Menge ein, wenn Sie die vorherige Einnahme vergessen haben.

5. WIE IST HERMES BIOTIN 5 MG AUFZUBEWAHREN?
Bewahren Sie dieses Arzneimittel für Kinder unzugänglich auf. Sie dürfen dieses Arzneimittel nach dem auf dem Umkarton und auf den Blistern nach »Verwendbar bis angegebenen Verfalldatum nicht mehr verwenden. Das Verfalldatum bezieht sich auf den letzten Tag des angegebenen Monats. Trocken und nicht über 25°C lagern. In der Originalpackung aufbewahren, um den Inhalt vor Feuchtigkeit zu schützen.
