Q: Why does the LED light not turn on the device when I connect it to my vehicle?

A: The device is powered by the vehicle's accessory fuses. If the LED light on the device does not turn on, most likely, there is an accessory fuse blown. Replace that blown accessory fuse to get the tool to power on and connect to the app successfully.

Q: Does it work on heady-duty vehicles?

A: All of our Innova diagnostic tools will work on heavy duty vehicles as long as they are OBD2 compliant. You can check whether the vehicle is OBD2 compliant by checking the emissions label on the roof of the hood or near the radiator.

Q: Are the tools compatible with vehicles that do not start?

A: Yes, the tools are still able to establish a successful connection with a vehicle that cannot crank up and start. If your vehicle has no power however, our tool will not be able to establish a connection to the vehicle since our tools require power from the vehicle to successfully connect.

Q: Will this tester be able to clear the check engine light as well as clear the codes?
