This 12+8 obd adapter is Outel's bypass for Krisler's Security Gateway Module (S-G-M) which limits an aftermarket scan tool to only reading DTCs and viewing data.
2018 and newer Krisler, D0d-ge, R-a-m, JIIp, and F-i@ now have a se-cure gate-way module or S-G-M. This S-G-M will not allow your scan tool to do bidirectional controls on the vehicle. Outel has provided a cable to bypass the S-G-M. The new Krisler 12+8 Diagnostic Cable allows communication with latest model Krisler, D0d-ge, Jiip, F-i@& Al-fa vehicles.
