鲜活本身就有穿透力，面对具象的手作还原的传统糕点，那些在久远的传说中慢慢模糊的传统、在历史长河中早已远去的习俗，在我们眼前逐渐具象起来。那些在中华历史文化发展中重大的、源远流长的、自始至终就贯穿和渗透的民族精神文明与意识形态，其实一直存在于今天的华夏子孙如你和我的身上，从来未磨灭，只需去唤醒。
《中华传统糕点图鉴》根据节气重新整理了民间、宫廷广为流传的中式糕点，挑选了120余款传统糕点进行拍摄和文字记录，更有部分糕点由于做工耗时等多种原因可能即将消失。
当下，大家对祖国的传统文化可以说表现出空前的热情，《中华传统糕点图鉴》中的糕点是对中国五千年来美食文化的继承和传承；中国轻工业出版社是出版美食图书的大社，也有责任出版有传承意义的美食图书。

春饼
春饼早是中国民间立春“咬春”的饮食习俗，后来成了贯穿整个春天的食物，似乎每个春天的各个节气都可以吃，尤其是在华北地区，从立春开始，一咬咬到二月二龙抬头，嫁出去的姑娘回娘家也要一起咬，再一咬就咬到了清明……
中国人立春吃春饼的习俗可以追溯到晋朝，盛行大约在唐朝。南宋人陈元靓在其《岁时广记》1 中转述唐人的记载说：“立春日食萝菔、春饼、生菜，号春盘。”
明朝万历年间才子孙国敉在其《燕都游览志》中记载：“凡立春日， ( 皇帝 ) 于午门赐百官春饼”。 一个必须由天子亲赐专属糕点的日子，可见在明朝立春作为节日之隆重！
