罗贯中(约1330-约1400),明代著名小说家、戏曲家,名本,字贯中,号湖海散人。生于元末明初,山西并州太原府人。历史上关于他的生平事迹记录不多,较为可信的有明代贾仲明编著的《录鬼簿续编》:“罗贯中,太原人,号湖海散人。与人寡合,乐府隐语,较为清新。”《稗史汇编》也有只言片语提及,说他“有志图王”,据传他还为元末农民起义军的首领张士诚做过幕僚。 罗贯中著作颇丰,主要作品有:剧本《赵太祖龙虎风云会》《忠正孝子连环谏》《三平章死哭蜚虎子》;小说《隋唐两朝志传》《三国演义》(《三国志通俗演义》)《残唐五代史演义》《三遂平妖传》《粉妆楼》等。这些作品中以《三国演义》成就最高,被誉为“中国四大古典小说”之一。 罗贯中是中国古代章回小说的鼻祖,开章回体小说之先河,对后世影响深远。
