《名医教你足部对症从跟治》书摘足疗就是运用中医理论原理，集检查、治疗和保健为一体的无创伤的自然疗法。足疗包括两个部分：足部按摩和足浴。足部按摩早起源于中国的人体健康疗养理念，距今已有几千年的历史，从医学发展史来看，足部按摩远远早于其他疗法，是我国中医学宝贵的遗产之一，至今在保健领域内仍发挥着独特的作用。远古时代，人类经过进化，学会了直立行走，双脚便承受了全身的重量和负担。那时的生存环境恶劣，由于自然界的意外伤害或某些原因造成身体的损伤时有发生。这时，人们在有意或无意中用手或其他器具触及足部的某些部位，发现疲劳减轻了、疼痛缓解了。通这些感性的、偶然的生活细节，我们的祖先逐渐发现在足部可以找到与身体各部分器官相对应的敏感位置，这些敏感位置会在人体发生疾患时，出现压痛、硬结、肿胀等极易被感知的异常现象。于是，经过长期的摸索和实践，人们学会了用手去按揉或者通过踩踏硬物来刺激这些敏感位置以达到治病的目的。我们的祖先所发明的这些简单、原始的手法便是早的足疗法了。
