坛经(国学典藏)
丁福保为著名佛教居士,以弘扬佛法、流通佛经为志,并修证有成。丁福保有感于佛教经典文字艰涩,于初学者不易了解,虽然历来缁素大德多有注疏解说,而古人注疏多重于判教科文,谈玄说妙,这都不是初机学佛的人所能领会的。因此,他选择了一些卷数较少的经典,依照汉儒训诂的方式,逐字逐句地解释;这种解释,没有繁琐的科文,也没有谈玄说妙的玄理,详略适中,一切以初学者所需为原则而名之曰“笺注”,使初读佛经的人容易入门。
著名学者和居士陈兵教授说现有的各种《坛经》注释中,“丁福保先生的《六祖坛经笺注》是内容较为丰富、征引较为广泛、解说相当全面、理解较为可靠的一种”。
《坛经》是中国人的佛学著作中惟一被称为“经”的,已经成为中国传统文化典籍中不可或缺的重要部分。丁福保采用传统的笺注方式,为《坛经》作注,是现代人读懂《坛经》的可靠而方便的途径。
丁福保,(1874~1952)字仲祜,号畴隐。近代藏书家、书目专家,著名佛教居士。丁福保学通经史,兼通算学、医学、日文,中年后归心佛教,用十年之功编成《佛学大辞典》,是中国新式的大型佛学辞典。风行学界七十年,至今仍是重要的佛学工具书。

一、惠能及《坛经》
《坛经》,乃中国僧人著述中被奉为“经”者,其主要内容,是禅宗六祖惠能大师于韶州大梵寺讲堂传法授戒的记录。
惠能(638—713)一作慧能,俗姓卢,范阳(今北京大兴)人。自幼随父流放岭南新州(今广东新兴),父亡,随母移居南海(今广东南海),以伐薪卖柴为生。二十四岁时,得人资助北上参学,在蕲州黄梅(今湖北黄梅县)谒见禅宗五祖弘忍,充任行者,劈柴踏碓八个多月。弘忍命诸弟子作偈以呈,上座神秀呈偈后,弘忍以为未见本性,惠能针对神秀偈口诵一偈,请人题于壁上,弘忍见后认可,为其讲《金刚经》,言下大悟,得传衣钵,奉命南归。惠能南归广东后,隐于猎人队伍中密修十六年,于仪凤元年(676)正月初八到广州法性寺,适逢方丈印宗法师讲《涅槃经》,因惠能对二僧“风动幡动”之争议进行评议,印宗闻之竦然,得知他乃五祖大师得法弟子,即为之落发,受具足戒。惠能从此开堂传法,摄受徒众,后来创建曹溪宝林寺(今称南华寺),门下得法弟子46人。神龙元年(705),唐中宗遣使征招,惠能称疾固辞不赴。唐玄宗开元二年(713),惠能卒于新州国恩寺,门人迎其遗体至曹溪供奉,至今尚栩栩如生。唐宪宗谥惠能“大鉴禅师”号,后代帝王又赠予多种谥号。
