       此次我们约请研究相宅文化多年的王玉德先生，以《古今图书集成?堪舆部》收录的《黄帝宅经》为底本，参考了其他版本，注释详细，翻译流畅，点评科学，大量精美插图穿插其间，并附录介绍了中华民族住宅文化常识。

前　　言
　 《宅经》是中国古代关于人与建筑与环境的经典，也可以称为关于阴宅和阳宅的经典，还可以称为传统风水文化的经典。
　　古代许多书名都称为“宅经”。如：按作者区分，有《黄帝宅经》、《文王宅经》、《孔子宅经》、《刘根宅经》、《玄女宅经》、《司马天师宅经》、《淮南子宅经》、《王微宅经》、《司宅经》、《刘晋平宅经》、《张子豪宅经》、《李淳风宅经》、《吕才宅经》；按内容区分，有《地典宅经》、《三元宅经》、《天老宅经》、《八卦宅经》、《五兆宅经》、《玄武宅经》、《六十四卦宅经》、《右盘龙宅经》、《飞阴伏乱宅经》、《五姓宅经》、《九官宅经》。按地点区分，还有《敦煌宅经》等。有关《宅经》的文献，仅在唐代敦煌遗书中就不下二十种。
　　由此可知，“宅经”是一个泛称。先民对于住宅的经典，冠名为“宅经”。“经”意味着重要的文献。在“宅经”二宇前面加上“三元”、“八卦”、“玄武”之类的前缀：意味着此“宅经”与其他“宅经”在内容或旨趣上有所不同。
　　通观各种《宅经》，其所述内容无非就是宅的选址、宅的布局、宅的方位、宅的禁忌、宅的镇邪等五个方面。《宅经》的流传，说明先民重视居住的环境与建筑，希望有一个良好的住宅，减少不必要的麻烦，创造一个天人和谐的生存空间。
