今泉忠明 
IZUMI TADAAKI 
1944 年生于日本东京。从东京水产大学(现东京海洋大学)毕业后,在日本国立科学馆学习哺乳动物分类学和生态学。曾任上野动物园动物解说员、猫博物馆馆长、 日本动物科学研究所所长。目前在奥多摩和富士山进行自然调查。除了畅销书《遗憾的生物辞典》之外,他还监督出版了许多图鉴类书籍。
