These socks are fabulous! I know it's hard to get this worked up about socks but these are really nice socks. Made by our good friends in Canada (which no doubt explains the high quality of these socks) out of 100% cotton. They fit exactly as advertised, which is not as common as you might think. I'm a 15 shoe, diabetic, with an ankle injury that left me with one ankle double the size of normal and THEY FIT!!! Very comfortable, not tight anywhere but stay up perfectly! Can't wait to order more as soon as I'm done here.

I was really alarmed by the 2-year-old 1 star review that somehow heads the list. I wouldn't be able to wear socks that had an anti-microbial treatment, either, but I have been using these socks for several years so I ordered them anyway. I can assure you that the Vagden socks that I received were just as in the past. No hidden label claiming anti-microbial treatment. Just plain cotton and once again, by far the best and most comfortable all-cotton sock I have found. I don't know if the person claiming the "toxin" content received an incorrect shipment or what, but that's not what I got in my latest order or in any previous order.

I have purchased these at least three times now. My husband loves them. But the size difference between the XL and L is extreme. The smaller size was way too small and the XL is quite large. They tend to slide down his leg and bunch up around the top of his shoe. But then, his legs are very slim and his foot is pretty large so nothing else really fits him well either. All in all, he would rather put up with the little annoyance and he has asked for more - so I guess he likes them.
