Epox-Sci - Instant Install 29

For chips, cracks, pits, gouges, reattaching or rebuilding lost stone, or for the ultimate countertop installation adhesive, you need Instant Install 29! This ultra-durable, knife-grade epoxy is non-toxic, food-safe, and simple to use. Formulated for DIY'ers, Instant Install 29 features a longer 15-minute workable period and then curing in under a half-hour. Tintable epoxy resin self-levels and dries glossy, making it ideal for permanently repairing stone surfaces, rebuilding tile, and installing countertops in less time.

DIY Friendly, Professional Results

  • REBUILDING MISSING CHIPS Tint and fill chip with epoxy. Shape into place. Let dry and razor off the excess.
  • CHIPPED STONE No tint is needed if you have a clean break. Apply epoxy to one side and push firmly into place. Clamp or use duct tape for a tight hold while drying for less visible seams.
  • CRACKS Cracks must be wide as a credit card for the epoxy to be able to fill the crack. Tint the epoxy and fill the crack to the surface. Allow to self-level for a glossy finish, or once dried, razor the surface level for a matte, travertine type finish.
  • COUNTERTOP INSTALLATION No joint line taping needed, as the dried resin doesn't stick to slick surfaces. Mix equal parts Resin and Hardener and apply to one or both edges. Clamp for maximum bond. Let cure, then razor off the excess in approximately 30 minutes once the epoxy is dry-to-touch.

For the #1 install and rapid-repair epoxy trusted by the pros, choose Instant Install 29!

      Corian countertop angle seam

We pulled our countertop for our new kitchen cabinets fully intending on recycling our corian countertops well we snaped a seam I saw this stuff read the reviews and went for it "always read the reviews and listen to the tips I did" it was said this stuff has a 10 min work time so I wasted no time I wiped down both seams with alcohol mixed what seemed 2 equal parts then applied with a popsicle stick on both sides of the seam and then put to gether unfortunately I could not clamp because of its angle but it seemed to adhear nicely about 10 minutes in I took a razor blade and shivered off the excess about 8 hours later I sanded the whole countertop and did a new epoxy coat over the whole thing I am very happy with the results what I wasn't happy with is my first purchase getting lost in shipping.

Perfect for granite counter top break repair

This product worked super! I had a granite kitchen countertop that was broken in to 4 pieces. The breaks were where the sink is, along the narrow sections in front and back of the sink opening. I have multiple areas of granite countertop in the kitchen, and to replace a section of granite for that one area would have been next to impossible to find to color match up to all the other countertop pieces! Otherwise, I would of had to replace all pieces in the kitchen...$10,000 or more. So fixing this was greatly desired! I've never done anything like this but I am somewhat handy and decided why not give this a try. Well, it was easy and worked great!!! problem solved for next to nothing cost wise. Took about an hour to get set up, do the job and clean up! I was maybe lucky in that all 4 of my pieces fit back together like puzzle pieces, so they glued up and matched up nicely. I glued it in place on top of the cabinets where it goes. Turned on the stop watch on my phone so I knew where I was with the 15 minute work time, mixed more than enough epoxy for the job, used shims for my sticks to spread the glue, placed more than enough epoxy on both sides of each piece where the joints matched up so when I clamped the 9' long section, it squeezed epoxy out the joints....but no need to get carried away with too much epoxy. As the directions said, once the epoxy was dry to the touch, I took a straight razor and simply bladed off the excess glue. My granite was mostly white…

      Useful stone-repair product

My home has terrazzo floors that for 20+ years were covered with carpet that was in place when I bought the home. I decided to go back to the terrazzo and up the carpet came. I was extremely careful removing the tack strips so as not to damage the surface. However, to my dismay, I found a number of large and deep (1" X 1/2" or so) chunks missing in the doorways. All I can imagine is that at some earlier time someone had pulled out threshold nails and really done some serious damage.Next step? Call a couple of terrazzo repair/refinishing companies to get quotes. Following step? Bathe my face in cool water after reading the quotes. Both companies wanted upwards of $500 for the repairs. Further, they would not guarantee the color match. Third step? Google on terrazzo DIY. I found very little of use. The most amusing recommendation was to fill the holes with concrete and paint faux terrazzo stones on the surface with acrylic paint. Yeah, like that was going to work right in a doorway.I found several stone repair kits online but all were intended for marble or granite with minor chips, scratches, gouges, and open seams. They weren't cheap and the amount of material they included was so small that I'd have to have bought a dozen or so of them. Then I located this "29 Minute Epoxy." It was available as the bulk product or in a little kit containing a few tongue blades, some vinyl gloves, and some razor blades. Those cheap little items greatly increased the price and I had…

Product is old but have asked for a replacement. Updated!

Update: The second batch I received was good and I was able to fix my granite in 30 mins. Easy to mix and easy to put on. I am only giving it four stars as other people probably got a bad product like I did. See picture for bad hardener bottom of pic vs good hardener to of pic. My granite is super busy so it is easy to blend in without noticing it.I watched the youtube videos on this product and what they are using and what I received are not the same consistency. On youtube the product when mixed looks soft like cream and easy to mix. The product I received was more like dried bubble gum. I ordered a replacement to hopefully get a fresh product and if not I will send it back as well. I will update the review if I get something like they had in the youtube videos. I think that is why so many people claim the product is sticky after application is the product being shipped is out of date.
