关于经典汽车及老爷车的定义一直很混乱，不同国家、不同俱乐部对经典的定义和分类都有所不同。国内就有老爷车、古典车、古董车、经典车等称呼，我们在这儿就不添乱了，都统一称它们为经典汽车（Classic Car）或经典车。

现代汽车都是由经典汽车演化而来的。经典汽车与现代汽车相比，就像是繁体字与简体字的关系。简体字是由繁体字简化而来的，虽然简体字用起来更方便和简明，但繁体字看起来更有文化和内涵，难怪书法作品都是繁体字。
