伦敦洸洋玮丽，曲折幽深，特色实在太多，诸般可喜可愕、可圈可点，乃至可恼可怪之事，殊胜奇异，数不清看不尽说不完。街头随意望去，就有一大把活地标—朱砂红的电话亭，双层的“路霸”红巴士（Routemaster），还有黑亮精悍、灵巧如甲虫的出租车（Black Cab），都是伦敦的吉祥物，除了美观有趣，其身世也都大有来头。
就说这“小黑”吧，伦敦是世界上早有出租车的城市之一，17 世纪伊始，伦敦就有出租马车（hackney carriage），一路进化到现代的黑甲虫。400 多年来，伦敦已形成一套完备制度，对出租车的款式、安全和行李空间都有详细规定，其中严格的，是对司机的考核。

我从伦敦带了一个大野餐藤篮回台北，里面装着四人份的刀叉、汤匙、盘子、马克杯、酒杯，甚至还有大大小小的调味罐，但在台北从未派上用场。有几次开车去擎天岗玩，本想要带去的，后来又作罢，改成了去土鸡城吃午餐。
每次看到储藏间里慢慢积上灰尘的野餐篮，我都会想起在伦敦野餐的日子。那些回忆都十分美好，像卧躺在铺着薄毯的草地上喝红葡萄酒、吃奶酪三明治，看灿烂的阳光在树梢中晃动，拿着杏仁干果勾引树上的松鼠溜下树，听微风和树叶的低声合唱，翻一本可以随意浏览的画册，喝保温杯中还热着的奶茶……时间像河水般慢慢地流过，困了就闭眼睡个小小的午觉，梦里青草的气息变成了一群绿色的跳舞精灵。
