The classic shape of this 8 1/2-ounce jar is embossed on one side with
swirling script spelling out 'Quattro Stagiono' (Four Seasons) and a
decorative motif on the other showing fruit, flowers and a beehive surrounded
by twining vines. Use if for colorful food display or as a vessel for homemade
food. It's perfect for preserving jams, jellies, sauces, salsas--and tomatoes,
of course. One of the more common uses today is to hold herbal remedies,
tonics, and syrups. You're only limited by your own imagination. The same
floral design is repeated in black on the gold lids. The interior seal of the
air-tight lid will keep freshness in and air out so it can even be used for
home canning projects. In fact, instructions for home canning come with each
